Ever since Valentine’s day, the stores seem to be filled with strawberries.
Seems a bit early, but I’ve been seeing them at the farmer’s market too.
Here’s a quick little dip that my kids have no problem digging into.
Very quickly melt some chocolate chips, peanut butter, and a bit of honey.
I used the microwave, but you could just as easily do it in a little pot on the stove.
Add some plain or vanilla Greek yogurt.
This will help to bulk up the dip with some protein and calcium, and you won’t feel as bad if your kids (or you) happen to dip really big scoops of it. =D
Warm it all up a bit once it’s all mixed.
Try dipping some bananas and pineapple too!
- 2 T. dark chocolate chips
- 1 T. peanut butter
- 1 tsp. honey or maple syrup
- ¼ c. plain or vanilla Greek yogurt or non-dairy yogurt
- Fresh fruit like strawberries or banana chunks
- Place chocolate chips, peanut butter, and honey in a small microwave proof bowl.
- Microwave on high for 30 seconds, until the chocolate looks soft. Stir it up and mix in the yogurt. Reheat another 10 seconds or so to soften everything up again.
- Dip in pieces of fresh fruit and enjoy.
